Office - Office 2007 very slow to open from within Outlook

I have a new Dell computer using Vista and Office 2007. Office 2007 programs
opens fine when I open them from the start menu, however if I double click
on a document within Outlook it take several minutes to open unless the
application is already open (ie Word, Excel…). While the program is trying to
open Outlook also locks up. I do not have this problem when opening a pdf
file. I have tried to reinstall Office but the problem continues. Any
suggestions?

We have the same problem here. Trying to open Word or Excel from Outlook
attachment took average 2-3 minutes.
No problem at all with Office 2003 before.
Please advise.
Office 2007 trial Office I recently purchased a new computer, had all my info transferred from my old computer and changed internet providers. I get my email through Microsoft Outlook and have had continuing problems. since I switched computers. When I try to reply to an email I get the message that "Outlook is starting Microsoft Word 2003 as my email editor". My computer freezes at that point and I cannot do anything except close it down through task manager. i do not have Microsoft Word 2003, I had 2002. I decided to download the 2007 trial to see if that would solve the problem. I got Word 2007 and Excel

In versions 1997 & 2003 it was extremely easy to do things such as close a document and to set all you want. Dies m??chte ich vorl??ufing noch erhalten, denn im letzten Jahr habe ich sehr guten 10-w??chigen Fortbildung sehr viel dar??ber gelernt.
