Office - Tracking changes

I am editing a doc in Office 2007 with tracking changes enabled.  The
problem is, it is not working.  It is acting as if I am in my own
document and is not tracking anything.  Any suggestions?

Never mind--I turned tracking off and now it works.
go figure!
