Office - Handwriting recognition

Asked By JFarme on 29-Jan-07 02:24 PM
On ON 2007, the character recognition seems to be much better if:

- I write in script in the ON page
-I write in cursive in the input panel.

Is it me or is the recognition method different ?

I'll be completely honest...I never use the TIP, except for entering in
very limited info (website addresses, passwords, etc...)

sorry, I'm no help here.

We’re using same reco engine with TIP.
However, following facts might affect to the different reco result:
1.	IA might start to parsing single cursive word as drawing (and it can be
changed to writing as user write more words)
i.e. In OneNote, ink object can be parsed as drawing or writing (while TIP
only has writing ink)
2.	OneNote considers line break which can impact to the parsing and reco
result while TIP doesn’t need to care about line break
